John Henion is an Emmy and IDA award-winning storyteller. At present he is the Showrunner of an ambitious new Amazon Original series that takes an unprecedented look into the life of one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Novak Djokovic. Both on and off the court, his 10-part series is produced across the globe from the Australian Open, to Roland Garros, Wimbledon, The US Open and all the stops in between.

Prior to this, Henion helped define a new genre of high-end, impeccably shot documentary series with his work as producer of the first season of the highly acclaimed Netflix Originals series, Chef’s Table, followed by showrunning the Netflix Original series Fearless. Between the two series they accumulated over a half dozen emmy nominations as well as other accolades.

He is the creator of several successful series including the cult classic, The Pecos League and Road to the Show, both docuseries created for Fox Sports.  Henion got his start directing, and producing the Peabody, Livingston and Dupont award winning investigative docuseries, Vanguard for Al Gore’s Current TV.
